About the Opportunity
A growing company in the hospitality sector, is seeking a skilled and motivated Human Resources Generalist to join their team. This is a hybrid position — 2–3 days a week onsite at our restaurants. Some regional travel (up to 25%) is required. Someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and passionate about supporting people and driving organizational success. Will work closely with a remote Director of HR and play a key part in developing and executing HR strategies across multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Post open positions and manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and offboarding
- Act as a key resource for field managers, offering guidance on employee relations and HR matters
- Administer and process payroll accurately and efficiently
- Maintain employee records and manage data through HR systems across all stages of the employee lifecycle
- Oversee benefits administration, including open enrollment and employee support
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local labor laws and company policies
- Support continuous improvement of HR processes and initiatives
Qualifications
- A background in restaurants, retail, or hotels is highly preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related (preferred)
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification (preferred)
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a HR role
- Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR compliance requirements
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Experience with HR-related systems such as HotSchedules and PMS software
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Willingness to travel up to 25%
