Vice President of Accounting Is needed for a growing Hospitality company, with great assets, quality brands within multiple states. This position is based in Grand Rapids, MI.
Vice President of Accounting Benefits and Requirements
· Annual Bonus

· Experience with Hotel Accounting Systems such as M3.
· Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance / MBA or CPA is a plus.
· Minimum of 3-5 years of multi-unit Hotel Accounting
· Able to work in office during general business hours.
· Great verbal and written communication skills
· Able to lead a small team of accounting professionals.
Vice President of Accounting Responsibilities:
· Overseeing all aspects of the accounting procedures, financial and operational processes, and accounting controls within the organization. Responsible for financial reporting for multiple hotels in different states, as well as AR/AP/Payroll/General Ledger management / Month end closing/ year-end closing/ Audit preparation.
· Collaborate with leadership on budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial projections for multiple properties.
· Oversee the filing of federal and state payroll reports, sales use-tax reporting and other governmental financial reports to ensure compliance with GAAP, IRS, and other taxing entity reporting requirements.
· Monitor and reconcile GL, Intercompany accounts, bank accounts and debt schedules
· Establish and maintain stable cash flow management policies and procedures to ensure cash resources are available for daily operations and product development, including new business growth.
· Develop, implement, and maintain a retention schedule for all company documents required by federal and state agencies to be kept for specific time periods and ensure compliance from each property/department.
· Lead and develop the accounting team, including property accountants and payroll personnel, fostering a high-performance culture.
