Senior / Principal Civil Engineer – Land Development

We’re seeking a seasoned Senior or Principal Civil Engineer with deep expertise in residential, commercial, and or mixed use land development to lead transformative projects and mentor the next generation of engineers. This is a high-impact opportunity for a strategic thinker who thrives at the intersection of technical mastery, stakeholder engagement, and community development.

As a senior leader in our growing land development team, you’ll own complex projects from concept through completion—driving innovative design solutions, navigating entitlement processes, and representing our firm with confidence in front of municipalities, public agencies, and development partners.

What You’ll Lead:

  • Own and manage large-scale residential and mixed-use land development projects from planning through construction.
  • Lead client relationships, guiding home builders and developers through technical solutions, permitting, and entitlements.
  • Present and advocate project vision to city officials, planning commissions, and community stakeholders with clarity and professionalism.
  • Oversee technical design including site layout, grading, stormwater, utility planning, and compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Mentor junior engineers and technical staff—sharing expertise and fostering a collaborative, growth-focused culture.
  • Ensure quality control and project delivery excellence, while actively contributing to strategic decision-making.

What You Bring:

  • 12+ years of experience in civil engineering, with a strong focus on residential or mixed-use land development.
  • PE license (PA preferred)
  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, manage client relationships, and navigate public approvals.
  • Expertise in Civil 3D and AutoCAD-based platforms (HydroCAD, StormCAD, or similar tools also valued).
  • Strong command of site grading, stormwater design, erosion control, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills—you know how to influence, advocate, and build trust.
  • A passion for community development and leaving a lasting impact through the built environment.
