Job Title: Human Resources Generalist
Location: Seattle, Washington — 25% Travel Required

About the Opportunity
Our client, a growing and dynamic company in the hospitality sector, is seeking a skilled and motivated Human Resources Generalist to join their team. This is a hybrid position — you’ll work from home part of the week, but also be present 2-3 days a week onsite at our restaurants to support teams face-to-face. Some regional travel (up to 25%) is required to ensure HR support is consistent and visible across locations. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about supporting people and driving organizational success.
This role will work closely with a remote Director of HR and play a key part in developing and executing HR strategies across multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Post open positions and manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and offboarding
- Act as a key resource for field managers, offering guidance on employee relations and HR matters
- Administer and process payroll accurately and efficiently
- Maintain employee records and manage data through HR systems across all stages of the employee lifecycle
- Oversee benefits administration, including open enrollment and employee support
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local labor laws and company policies
- Support continuous improvement of HR processes and initiatives
Qualifications
- A background in restaurants or hotels is highly preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related (preferred)
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a Human Resources role
- Experience in hospitality or retail environments strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR compliance requirements
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Experience with HR-related systems such as HotSchedules and PMS software
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Willingness to travel up to 25%
