Job Requirements:

  • BS in Engineering
  • 10+ years of engineering experience
  • 5+ year of management in a SCRUM environment
  • Experience with the development of instrument controls for cloud based platforms
  • Experience with Solidworks, AutoCAD, Altium, Eagle, GIT, Bitbucket, AWS, Kubernetes, PostMan, Fusion 360, Arena
  • Willingness to work 100% onsite in Kansas.

Engineering Director – Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee Global Product Delivery
    • Lead the full lifecycle of hardware and software development and deployment across international markets, including the US, Brazil, EMEA, and Australia.
  • Build and Lead High-Performing Teams
    • Manage and grow a multidisciplinary engineering team encompassing Electrical, Mechanical, Embedded Systems, Web Development, and Test Engineering.
  • Drive Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Partner closely with Product Management, Manufacturing, Customer Experience, Installation Operations, and Sales to align engineering efforts with business goals.
  • Mitigate Technical Risk
    • Proactively identify technical challenges and implement solutions to reduce risk and ensure project success.
  • Champion Continuous Improvement
    • Implement strategies to enhance technology, streamline engineering processes, and improve financial efficiency.
  • Manage Vendor and OEM Partnerships
    • Oversee relationships with external vendors and ensure seamless integration of OEM components into products.
  • Lead Product Lifecycle Strategy
    • Define and execute plans for product lifecycle management, including refresh cycles and replacement timelines.
  • Enhance Software Development Practices
  • Improve development frameworks, tools, and architectural standards while fostering clear and efficient team communication.
  • Represent Engineering to Stakeholders
    • Serve as the technical voice for product offerings in discussions with both internal teams and external partners.
  • Lead Organizational Change
    • Drive the adoption of strategic technologies and engineering best practices across the organization.
  • Develop and Retain Talent
    • Mentor, coach, and recruit top engineering talent; conduct regular performance evaluations to support growth and retention.
  • Ensure Regulatory Compliance
    • Uphold engineering standards and ensure adherence to risk management protocols and industry certifications.
  • Maintain Engineering Governance
    • Regularly review, refine, and enforce engineering policies, procedures, and operational standard
