We're seeking a seasoned Director of Engineering to lead property operations at our high-end, year-round resort in the Colorado Rockies. This role oversees all maintenance, capital projects, compliance, and team leadership to ensure a safe, efficient, and exceptional guest experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead daily engineering operations and preventative maintenance across guest rooms, public areas, and mechanical systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.)
- Oversee capital improvements and large-scale renovation projects
- Manage departmental budget, vendor contracts, and cost control initiatives
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards, and lead emergency preparedness efforts
- Hire, train, and develop a strong engineering team with a focus on accountability and technical excellence
Requirements:
- 7–10 years in facilities management, with 5+ years in a Director-level role
- Strong knowledge of building systems, OSHA regulations, and capital planning
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills
- Relevant certifications (CFM, FMP, CPO) preferred
