Do you have an accounting background and experience working at agencies focused on marketing, branding, the arts, or other creative fields?
If so, this well-established creative marketing and branding agency is looking for an Accounting Manager to join their team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA strongly preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience
- Solid understanding of financial management, budgeting, and forecasting
- Proficient in Excel and comfortable with manual processes
- Familiar with communication and productivity tools (e.g., Slack, Zoom, G-Suite)
- Based in the Los Angeles metro area and available to work in-office 2–3 days/week

- Comes from a creative agency background (e.g., marketing, branding, TV/film, or similar industries)
- (Not seeking candidates from traditional finance or banking environments)
- Must be comfortable being a one-person accounting department
- HR handles payroll, but this role manages AP, AR, GL, budgeting, and forecasting
- Experience with UK financial operations is a plus (not required)
- The agency operates in Los Angeles, New York, and the UK
- UK office uses Zedra as a third-party financial platform, as required by local regulations
- Personality fit is key: transparent, open, compassionate, and able to collaborate with a thoughtful, sensitive team
- Must be comfortable working manually with Excel and other non-automated processes
Accounting Manager Responsibilities:
- Prepare and manage financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to support strategic decision-making
- Monitor financial performance and provide insights and recommendations to leadership
- Oversee daily accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger
- Collaborate with UK accounting partner to manage international financial operations
- Coordinate tax filings and reporting with external advisors for both U.S. and UK locations
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and UK tax regulations
- Manage cash flow and maintain financial health across entities
- Maintain and strengthen banking relationships in the U.S.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Base salary: $100,000–$120,000
