Join a prestigious luxury hotel in San Antonio as the Director of Housekeeping! Lead our Housekeeping and Laundry teams to enhance cleanliness, implement cost control measures, and foster an enjoyable work atmosphere. Director of Housekeeping Responsibilities:

  • Ensures cleanliness and a consistent guest experience by adhering to all company's facility standards and guidelines.
  • Guarantees smooth, efficient, and cost-effective operations in the Housekeeping and Laundry departments.
  • Oversee the preventative maintenance program across the hotel.
  • Keep a dedicated and skilled team that consistently aims for outstanding service and cleanliness.
  • Continuously oversee and manage labor expenses for the Housekeeping and Laundry departments to meet payroll targets.
  • Keep housekeeping staff turnover within a satisfactory range
  • Maintain effective coordination, communication, and interaction with the front office to ensure room availability for sale and collaborate with Engineering to guarantee that guest rooms and all public areas operate at their best performance levels.
  • Aid in the budgeting process as requested by the Director of Rooms.
  • Manage the issuing and returning of associate uniforms directly.
  • Track all guest requests to guarantee they are fulfilled within the designated timeframes
  • Conduct inspections and tours of all public areas multiple times each day
  • Hold OST meetings every month

Director of Housekeeping Requirements:

  • Must possess a minimum of 2 years of management experience in full-service hotels, preferably in housekeeping.
  • A High School Diploma or GED is necessary; a College Degree is desirable.
  • Should be extremely driven and capable of juggling multiple tasks
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have the ability to lead, motivate, and develop others
  • Must be able to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
