Maintenance Engineer Responsibilities
- Direct daily maintenance activities to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimal downtime
- Strengthen preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to extend equipment life
- Oversee maintenance budgets, parts inventories, and vendor relations to support operational needs
- Train, coach, and develop maintenance staff with an emphasis on technical skill and safety excellence
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce operational disruptions
- Operate effectively within high-heat, fast-moving industrial environments
Maintenance Engineer Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience
- Minimum of 8 years leading maintenance operations in steel production or heavy manufacturing industries
- Proficient with CMMS systems, mechanical CAD software, or PLC programming and troubleshooting
- Strong leadership skills with a results-driven approach to problem-solving and team development
- Demonstrated success in building and sustaining high-performing maintenance teams
