Are you passionate about building robust financial technology solutions? An established and growing investment firm is seeking a Senior Ruby on Rails Developer to join their dynamic team. You’ll play a key role in creating and managing full-stack solutions that enhance the investment lifecycle and optimize decision-making processes.

  • CANDIDATE MUST LIVE IN NEW YORK CITY, BOSTON OR MIAMI
  • PERMANENT USA RESIDENTS ONLY – NO SPONSORSHIP

This is a hybrid role, requiring in-office presence at least two days per week. Competitive compensation is offered, with a salary range of $175,000 – $200,000 along with excellent benefits and growth opportunities.

Senior Ruby on Rails Developer Requirements:

  • 5+ years of Ruby on Rails experience (or 7+ years with similar stacks if transitioning from another language), with at least 2 years in a senior role.
  • Experience in financial services, asset management, hedge funds, private equity, or venture capital (mandatory).
  • Proven track record of deploying and maintaining production applications.
  • Strong front-end development skills using React, Vue, or similar frameworks.
  • Proficiency in CI/CD pipeline management.
  • Expertise in MySQL database management and optimization.
  • Experience working with AWS infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of security best practices, especially in financial data protection.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Senior Ruby on Rails Developer Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain Ruby on Rails applications for the firm's financial asset management platform.
  • Dive into existing codebases to implement improvements while maintaining stability.
  • Build responsive UI components using modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue, etc.).
  • Design and manage CI/CD pipelines, ensuring high code quality through testing.
  • Provide mentorship and perform code reviews for junior developers.
  • Collaborate with the CTO and decision-makers on architectural decisions and technical standards.
  • Integrate financial APIs with a focus on security and compliance.
