A Growing Hospitality Company with great brands you love and recognize is looking for a VP-Accounting. Relocation to the beautiful state of Michigan is available for the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee a team of Accounting professionals and all aspects of accounting procedures, processes and controls.
- Financial Reporting for multiple locations
- Oversee the filing of federal and state payroll reports, sales use-tax reporting and other governmental financial reports to ensure compliance with GAAP, IRS, and other taxing entity reporting requirements.
- Monitor and reconcile GL, Intercompany accounts, bank accounts and debt schedules
- Establish and maintain stable cash flow management policies and procedures to ensure cash resources are available for daily operations and product development, including new business growth.
- Develop, implement, and maintain a retention schedule for all company documents required by federal and state agencies to be kept for specific time periods and ensure compliance from each property/department.
- Lead and empower the team to foster a high performance culture.

- Experience with Hotel Accounting Systems such as M3.
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance / MBA or CPA is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of multi-unit Hotel Accounting
- Able to work in office during general business hours.
- Great verbal and written communication skills
- Able to lead a small team of accounting professionals.
