We are seeking an Internal Medicine or Family Medicine trained physician to join us in offering high-touch concierge patient care in the scope of urgent and primary care services. This includes but is not limited to diagnosis, treatment, coordination of care, preventive care and health maintenance. The ideal candidate should also have managerial experience with oversight and mentoring of other providers. Time will be allocated for each responsibility.
TREATING RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Thorough health, medical, family, and lifestyle history taking.
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations and assessments and physical examinations.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses, ensuring appropriate treatment plans are implemented.
- Provide preventive care services, including vaccinations, screenings, and health education.
- Manage urgent walk ins or emergencies.
- Collaborate with one site specialists for musculoskeletal and/or mental health care.
- Refer to vetted/approved specialists.
- Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Always maintain HIPAA compliance.
- 16 patients maximum per day.
ADMIN RESPONSIBILITIES: The ideal candidate will assist &/or lead with the following:
- Managing/reviewing other medical providers (NP, PA, MD, DO)
- There will be approximately 4 other providers at time of hire
- Managing schedules/vacation/PTO
- Chart reviews for best clinical practices
- Department meetings
- Outlining clinical protocols
REQUIREMENTS
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- 5+ years minimum in primary care and/or emergency/urgent patient care.
- Board certification in Family Medicine OR Internal Medicine preferred.
- Valid medical license to practice in New York State (willing to license in other states)
- Experience in managing other providers 1-2 years.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients.
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care with empathy and professionalism.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team environment.
