We are a growing Chicago firm looking for a IL Professional Structural Engineer (SE) to join our team. This person has 1-5 years of experience with structural experience with steel, concrete, and wood. This role is in the field where our culture is hardworking, honest, and collaborative. Structural Engineer Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering required.
- SE License in the State of Illinois or the Ability to obtain one within 90 days of employment
- 1-5 years of Structural Engineering experience.
- Highly motivated self-starter with a professional attitude and ability to work well with other professionals and contractors.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to prepare clear and concise letters, memoranda, technical reports, and figures.
- Structural Analysis
- Responsive attitude when interacting with staff, peers, management, and clients.
- Experience preparing design drawings using AutoCAD/Civil 3D/CADD/REVIT.
Structural Engineer Qualifications
- Work within a team of professionals in developing site civil engineering plans and specifications for a multitude of land development projects
- Conduct site visits and field inspections to gather data and ensure designs meet all necessary requirements and regulations.
- Participate in client meetings to discuss project requirements, provide updates, and address any concerns or questions.
- Stay current with industry trends, codes, and standards to continuously improve design processes and deliver high-quality results.
- Assist with the preparation of permitting, design, and construction documents
- Preparing plans and technical documents and reports
