A private Liberal Arts College is seeking an experienced, creative Executive Chef with a passion for International Cuisine to oversee their kitchen operations. If you have a proven background in higher education, we want to talk with you!
University Executive Chef Responsibilities
- Responsible for the overall success of the food program and overseeing all culinary functions
- Oversee all phases of planning, ordering, inventory, and food preparation
- Adhere to the client’s culture and guidelines, the Health Department’s regulations, and the company’s standards and expectations of food quality, freshness and presentation
- Motivate, train, develop, and direct the back of house associates preparing and cooking foods to accomplish the objectives of the operation to the satisfaction of the customers, clients, and management
University Executive Chef Qualifications
- 3-5 years of culinary management experience in a higher education setting; 2+ years of Executive Chef experience required
- Ability to manage cost controls
- High volume production and catering experience required
- Diverse experience with a variety of cuisine
- Associate's or Bachelor
- Creative menu planning, pricing and experience sourcing local ingredients
- Solid tenure in previous employment-preferably no more than 2 jobs in 5 years
