CNC Field Service Engineer – EDM, Laser & ECM
We are hiring a CNC Field Service Engineer skilled in Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM), Laser Drilling, and Electrochemical Machining (ECM) for high-precision Aero-engine and Gas Turbine components. This role is based in the U.S. and supports customers nationwide from our new Greenville, SC facility.
Key Requirements:
- 5–10 years of experience in mechanical, electromechanical, or electronic equipment service.
- Degree or equivalent hands-on experience in CNC machinery.
- Multi-axis experience with high-tolerance alignment CNC equipment.
- Ability to build and maintain strong business relationships with customers and peers.
- Experience performing in-house machine builds when needed.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and self-initiative.
- Willingness to travel for onsite service and training.
Responsibilities:
- Perform basic troubleshooting, installation, maintenance, calibration, and repair on EDM, Laser, and STEM equipment used in the production of cooling holes for turbine blades.
- Complete preventive maintenance tasks and provide training courses both onsite and in-house at TEK4.
- Conduct axis alignments to ensure correct machine functionality and operation.
- Maintain communication with customers to ensure proper resolution and follow-up.
- Maintain tools and test equipment, ensuring proper calibration.
- Comply with Health and Human Services, Environmental Health & Safety, and all other applicable regulatory requirements at customer sites.
- Identify and participate in sales opportunities such as new contracts, contract renewals, and spare parts sales.
- The role is 60% mechanical and 40% electrical, with some pneumatics—ability to read circuit diagrams is a plus.
