Our client is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join their team in either Sioux Falls or Brookings, SD. This role is ideal for an experienced professional with a background in HVAC and plumbing system design, who is ready to take on leadership responsibilities, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to meaningful AEC projects.
Mechanical Engineer Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical systems including HVAC and plumbing for commercial and institutional projects
- Produce construction documents and detailed specifications using Revit
- Conduct field assessments of existing systems and recommend improvements
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to support project delivery
- Provide guidance and technical mentorship to junior team members
Mechanical Engineer Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of mechanical engineering experience in the AEC industry
- Strong background in HVAC and plumbing system design
- Proficiency in Revit and specification development
- Demonstrated ability to lead and communicate effectively across teams
- South Dakota PE license, or the ability to obtain licensure within three months of hire
- Availability to work on-site in Sioux Falls or Brookings, SD
Mechanical Engineer Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive salary range: $110,000 – $130,000, commensurate with experience
