Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Field Technician Supervisor to oversee and support field technicians performing internet installations, maintenance, and repairs. This role ensures high-quality service, adherence to safety standards, and operational efficiency in the field. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support field technicians during internet installations, repairs, and troubleshooting.
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure installations meet company standards.
- Provide hands-on technical assistance when needed.
- Train and mentor technicians on installation best practices, safety procedures, and customer service.
- Manage daily schedules, assign work orders, and track job completion.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
- Collaborate with network engineers and support teams to resolve escalated technical issues.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, service calls, and technician performance.
- Conduct field audits and address any service deficiencies.
- Handle customer escalations professionally and ensure resolution.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 1+ year of experience in internet or telecommunications installation (additional training provided).
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a field service role.
- Strong knowledge of fiber optics, cable, wireless networks, and home/business internet setups.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues in the field.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work in various environments, including outdoor and rooftop installations.
Work Environment & Schedule:
- Primarily field-based with travel between customer locations.
- Requires occasional evening and weekend availability for emergencies or high-demand periods.
- Physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs., climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces.
