Our client, a key player in the home improvement industry, is seeking a proactive and results-driven National Account Manager to manage and grow relationships with major retail partners such as Floor & Decor and Home Depot. This full-time hybrid role requires extensive experience in merchandising, product placement, and retail operations, ensuring that products are effectively positioned in-store for maximum sales impact. The ideal candidate will have strong account management experience combined with a deep understanding of in-store merchandising processes. You will collaborate with product development teams, lead in-store resets, and ensure that product strategies are executed flawlessly across key retail accounts.

National Account Manager Responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop key retail accounts (Floor & Decor, Home Depot), ensuring business growth, product placement, and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead in-store merchandising efforts, conducting store walks, managing resets, and ensuring products are well-positioned for maximum impact.
  • Collaborate with product development managers (PDMs) and retail merchants to introduce new products and refine current offerings based on store needs.
  • Develop and execute market analysis to inform product strategy, ensuring the right products and designs are in the right locations.
  • Drive product presentations and promotions, engaging with key retail clients to promote sales and product knowledge.
  • Track POS data, analyze sales performance, and conduct competitive shop assessments to inform retail strategies and adjust as necessary.
  • Represent the company professionally in all dealings with clients and stakeholders, ensuring high levels of service and customer satisfaction.
  • Act as the main point of contact for retail partners, managing day-to-day operations, addressing issues promptly, and ensuring product availability and visibility.

National Account Manager Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in retail account management with a strong background in merchandising, especially with key retail partners like Home Depot and Floor & Decor.
  • In-depth knowledge of in-store processes including product placement, store resets, and merchandising execution.
  • Strong experience in new product development, working with cross-functional teams to introduce new products to market.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with retail merchants and internal teams.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data, track performance, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Experience in the home improvement, furniture, or plumbing industries, as well as familiarity with e-commerce and online retail strategies.
  • Flexibility to adapt to evolving retail strategies and growing business needs.
