We are looking for a talented Cake Decorator to bring their artistry and precision to our fast-paced kitchen. In this role, you’ll be responsible for decorating cakes, crafting French macarons, assembling cake components, and maintaining top-tier quality in everything you create. What You’ll Do:
- Cake Decorating: Skillfully decorate a variety of cakes, ensuring they meet our high standards for both aesthetics and taste.
- Macaron & Pastry Creation: Prepare French macarons and assist with other baked goods as needed.
- Baking & Assembly: Pipe cupcakes, fill and torte cakes, and prepare cake batters, buttercreams, and fillings with precision.
- Team Leadership: Guide and support the production team, fostering efficiency and clear communication.
- Production Planning: Follow and execute a structured production schedule to meet daily bakery demands.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain attention to detail while balancing speed and accuracy to uphold Too Sweet Cakes' reputation for excellence.
- Sanitation & Safety: Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness regulations.
- Kitchen Organization: Keep the workspace clean, organized, and efficient while ensuring proper storage and rotation of ingredients.
- Equipment Operation: Safely and effectively operate kitchen equipment, including mixers, ovens, and dough sheeters.
- Adaptability: Take on additional tasks as needed to support the kitchen and production flow.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: 3-4 years of professional cake decorating experience plus 1-2 years in a leadership or team management role.
- Pastry Expertise: Solid understanding of baking techniques, pastry methods, and industry best practices.
- Certification: OHA Food Handler’s Certificate required.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 25 lbs. frequently and up to 50-75 lbs. occasionally.
- Time Management: Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced setting.
- Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to decorating and presentation.
- Passion for Baking: Enthusiasm for pastry arts and a drive to create high-quality products.
- Flexibility: Open availability, including weekends, as needed.
