A highly regarded, upscale, modern American restaurant in Tampa is seeking an Executive Sous Chef who is eager to grow in the near future. This is a confidential opportunity to join a forward-thinking hospitality group dedicated to culinary excellence, elevated guest experiences, and innovative cuisine.

As Executive Sous Chef, you will work directly alongside the Executive Chef, overseeing a high-volume, scratch kitchen that blends global influences with modern American flavors. This position is designed as a stepping stone to Executive Chef, offering an ambitious candidate the chance to take full ownership of the kitchen in the near future.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor the kitchen team, ensuring high standards in execution, consistency, and presentation
• Assist in menu development, seasonal updates, and creative specials
• Manage BOH operations, including ordering, inventory control, and food cost management
• Ensure all food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards are upheld
• Drive efficiency and innovation while maintaining a positive, team-oriented culture
• Act as the right hand to the Executive Chef with the ability to step into leadership when needed

What We’re Looking For:

• 4+ years of leadership experience in upscale, high-volume kitchens
• Strong understanding of modern culinary techniques, international flavors, and refined plating
• A hands-on, solutions-driven leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment
• Passion for developing teams and fostering a culture of excellence
• Financial acumen with experience managing food and labor costs
• Ambition to grow into the Executive Chef role within a structured timeframe
