Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Evaluation:
- Assess patients’ physical conditions, medical histories, and functional abilities.
- Conduct tests, physical exams, and analyze results to develop individualized treatment plans.
- Set measurable goals for patients’ rehabilitation.
- Treatment Planning and Implementation:
- Design and implement personalized physical therapy programs to address patient needs.
- Educate patients and their families on exercises, techniques, and strategies to improve mobility.
- Apply therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities (e.g., heat, cold, ultrasound, electrical stimulation).
- Progress Monitoring:
- Monitor patients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- Keep detailed records of treatments, outcomes, and patient progress.
- Provide feedback to physicians and other healthcare providers regarding treatment effectiveness.
- Patient Education:
- Teach patients how to manage their condition or injury independently.
- Instruct on proper posture, body mechanics, and injury prevention strategies.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with other healthcare professionals such as doctors, nurses, and occupational therapists.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to ensure comprehensive care for the patient.
- Administrative Duties:
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Prepare reports and communicate with insurance companies regarding patient treatment plans.
- Rehabilitation & Mobility Improvement:
- Help patients regain movement, strength, and coordination through tailored exercises.
- Guide patients in exercises to enhance functional mobility for daily living activities.
- Support & Motivation:
- Encourage and motivate patients during their rehabilitation journey.
- Offer emotional support to patients facing physical challenges.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
- Licensing/Certifications:
- Valid MS state license
- Experience:
- Experienced or newly licensed are welcome to apply.
- Skills:
- Excellent knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and movement science.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and colleagues.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
