Key Responsibilities:

1. Patient Evaluation:

• Assess patients’ physical conditions, medical histories, and functional abilities.
• Conduct tests, physical exams, and analyze results to develop individualized treatment plans.
• Set measurable goals for patients’ rehabilitation.

1. Treatment Planning and Implementation:

• Design and implement personalized physical therapy programs to address patient needs.
• Educate patients and their families on exercises, techniques, and strategies to improve mobility.
• Apply therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities (e.g., heat, cold, ultrasound, electrical stimulation).

1. Progress Monitoring:

• Monitor patients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
• Keep detailed records of treatments, outcomes, and patient progress.
• Provide feedback to physicians and other healthcare providers regarding treatment effectiveness.

1. Patient Education:

• Teach patients how to manage their condition or injury independently.
• Instruct on proper posture, body mechanics, and injury prevention strategies.

1. Collaboration:

• Work closely with other healthcare professionals such as doctors, nurses, and occupational therapists.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to ensure comprehensive care for the patient.

1. Administrative Duties:

• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Prepare reports and communicate with insurance companies regarding patient treatment plans.

1. Rehabilitation & Mobility Improvement:

• Help patients regain movement, strength, and coordination through tailored exercises.
• Guide patients in exercises to enhance functional mobility for daily living activities.

1. Support & Motivation:

• Encourage and motivate patients during their rehabilitation journey.
• Offer emotional support to patients facing physical challenges.

Qualifications:

• Education:
  • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
• Licensing/Certifications:
  • Valid MS state license
• Experience:
  • Experienced or newly licensed are welcome to apply.
• Skills:
  • Excellent knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and movement science.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and colleagues.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
