Data Center Engineer Responsibilities:
- Manage Linux systems, Red Hat enterprise services, and related infrastructure
- Implement, operate, and maintain physical and virtual network devices, including switches, routers, VMware NSX-based SDNs, and Kubernetes-based applications
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality network solutions
- Develop and maintain scripts for automation, configuration management, and performance monitoring
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly, ensuring system stability and security
- Document system performance and network metrics, providing insights into operations and improvement opportunities
- Utilize Agile methodologies and tools like Jira and Confluence for task management and collaboration
- Expertise in Linux system management and scripting (e.g., Bash, Python)
- Proficiency with infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible or Terraform
- Knowledge of microservices architecture and hybrid cloud environments
- Familiarity with DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) and NIST guidelines
Data Center Engineer Requirements:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of relevant work experience preferred
- Security+ Certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- U.S. Citizenship and a Secret security clearance (with an ability to obtain TS/SCI)
