A manufacturing company near Mansfield, OH is seeking a self-motivated and technically proficient Business Development Engineer to drive business growth and establish long-term, high-value relationships with key customers. This role involves selling and managing engineered components across various manufacturing industries, including automotive, major appliance, industrial, and heavy truck sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute sales and business development strategies for engineered products.
- Drive program development and promote custom application solutions rather than catalog-based products.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with targeted customers to generate new business opportunities.
- Collaborate with engineering and sales teams to ensure smooth program management and successful product launches.
- Travel as needed to engage with clients, suppliers, and international teams across multiple cultures.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree in engineering (required).
- Experience in sales and/or program management within the automotive, major appliance, industrial, or heavy truck industries.
- Familiarity with manufacturing environments such as castings, molding, wire harness assembly, tooling, and machining.
- Strong understanding of product qualification, program management, APQP, PPAP, and other launch processes.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-driven environment while managing multiple projects.
- Willingness to travel and interact across diverse cultural and business environments (passport will be required).
Salary & Benefits:
· Starting salary of $85-125K (NON commission)
