Machine Learning Engineer Qualifications

  • Master's or Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Data Science, or related fields
  • Over 5 years of practical experience with deep learning models and neural networks, preferably with Large Language Models and Transformer architectures, or computer vision models
  • More than 2 years of hands-on experience with LLM and Transformer models, with proficiency in libraries such as HuggingFace Transformers, Accelerate, Datasets, etc.
  • Strong mathematical foundation and expertise in deep learning algorithms and neural networks, both in training and inference
  • Excellent problem-solving, debugging, performance analysis, test design, and documentation skills
  • Solid understanding of GPU architectures
  • Proficiency in Python programming and experience with relevant libraries (PyTorch, HuggingFace, etc.)
  • Experience with cloud platforms (preferably AWS), containerization technologies (Docker), and deploying AI solutions in a cloud environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment and effectively communicate complex ideas
  • Previous research publications in deep learning are advantageous
  • Fluency in English

Machine Learning Engineer Responsibilities

  • Develop innovative methods to compress Large Language Models using quantum-inspired technologies, addressing complex use cases across various sectors
  • Conduct thorough evaluations and benchmarks of model performance, identify areas for enhancement, and fine-tune LLMs to improve accuracy, robustness, and efficiency
  • Assess model strengths and weaknesses, propose improvements, and develop novel solutions to enhance performance and efficiency
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in LLMs, understanding domain-specific challenges and identifying opportunities for quantum AI-driven innovation
  • Maintain detailed documentation of LLM development processes, experiments, and outcomes
  • Share knowledge and expertise with the team to foster a culture of continuous learning, mentor junior team members in their technical development, and assist them in enhancing their skills in LLM development
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements and emerging trends in LLMs and recommend new tools and technologies as appropriate
