The Senior Business Analyst position forms part of the Commercial Finance function, with strong cross-functional collaboration with Business Development. The Senior Business Analyst will leverage and integrate relevant business information, data, develop pro-forma models, and will assist in efficiently measuring the revenues expenses, and return on capital investment associated with new and renewed contracts. The Senior Business Analyst is a highly committed professional with strong orientation to data-backed decision-making. Working closely with the Vice President of Strategic Planning and/or Director of Business Development, they will co-develop projects from concept through final delivery.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Operations, Finance, Technology, Culinary, Sales, etc.) to assist with the review and assessment of the new business opportunity and core business renewal.
- Development of the financial pro forma model and commercial terms, including but not limited to the following steps:
- Review of Request for Proposal ("RFP")
- Review historical data, financial performance, benchmarks and trendlines
- Maintain industry knowledge by understanding competitive landscape
- Create logical models that reflected expected revenues, expenses and ROIC at different levels of sensitivity
Qualifications:
- Extremely passionate individual with ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, exercise independent judgment, work on own initiative and on multiple projects simultaneously
- MBA or current MBA candidate
- Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience, reporting and progressive project management experience (within the hospitality, retail or restaurant industry a plus)
- Highly developed analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication and superior organizational skills
- Must possess advanced Microsoft Excel and Power BI skills
