Structural Engineer Key Skills:
- Technical Expertise:
- 5+ years of experience in structural design, with a strong understanding of applicable codes and standards (e.g., ADM, ACI, AISC, ASCE, DOT, IBC)
- Proficiency in Autocad Inventor for designing and detailing engineered solutions
- Knowledge of structural materials, fabrication processes, and drafting principles
- Leadership and Project Management:
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage projects through their entire lifecycle
- Experience in developing project schedules, tracking deliverables, and ensuring on-time completion
- Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail
- Industry Knowledge:
- Experience in the marine construction industry and familiarity with aluminum design standards is a plus
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Ability to serve as a liaison between design, production, and operations teams
- Skilled in providing technical support to sales teams, customers, and contractors
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with stakeholders, regulatory agencies, and engineering firms
- Independence and Initiative:
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently, document processes, and adapt quickly to new challenges
- Resourceful in identifying and implementing industry best practices
