We’re searching for a skilled and passionate Sous Chef to join our respected fine dining restaurant in the Sumter area! Sous Chef Responsibilities:
- Assist our tenured Executive Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations to ensure everything runs smoothly.
- Work hands-on with our awesome team to maintain the highest standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation.
- Ensure food and labor costs stay within budget while maintaining exceptional quality.
- Help with staffing, scheduling, and other daily operational tasks.
- Uphold top-tier cleanliness, sanitation, and safety standards in the kitchen.
Sous Chef Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of experience as a Sous Chef in a fine dining or upscale restaurant.
- Strong experience in scratch cooking and working in a high-volume kitchen environment.
- Ability to lead a team, manage staff effectively, and maintain high kitchen standards.
- Proven track record in managing food and labor costs efficiently.
- A passion for culinary innovation and contributing to the menu’s ongoing success.
- Culinary degree preferred, but relevant hands-on experience is just as valuable.
