We are looking for an experienced CNC machining professional in Charlotte, NC. Reporting to the President, this role requires hands-on CNC machining expertise, supervisory skills, and a commitment to quality production and continuous improvement.
CNC Machining Supervisor Responsibilities
- Operate and manage 1-2 CNC turning or milling machines while overseeing the performance and output of other machinists.
- Conduct in-process inspections, load/unload parts, perform daily maintenance, and uphold workspace housekeeping standards.
- Train less-experienced machinists, fostering productivity, quality, and professional development.
- Maintain and report production goals, quality standards, and shift productivity.
CNC Machining Supervisor Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of hands-on CNC machining experience in precision or discrete parts manufacturing.
- Proficient in CNC programming, setup, troubleshooting, and operations within a custom machining environment.
- Willingness to relocate to the Charlotte area immediately if not already local.
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing 3-5 employees in a non-daylight shift environment, achieving deadlines and quality targets.
- Familiarity with job shop ERP systems (preferably JobBOSS2).
- Hands-on experience with CAM software such as Mastercam, GibbsCAM, or Esprit is preferred.
- Proven success in CNC machining and supervisory roles, focusing on quality and continuous improvement.
- Strong commitment to personal and team development, bringing motivation and drive ("fire in the belly") to support growth in a rapidly expanding company.
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight, meeting production, cost, and profitability goals.
CNC Machining Supervisor Salary and Benefits
- Salary range is $30 – $50/hour, based on experience
