Are you an experienced financial leader with a passion for startups and a proven track record in securing institutional investment? We're seeking a dynamic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join us on a contract basis and drive our financial strategies and operations to new heights.
CFO Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure the company's financial health and growth.
- Provide financial leadership and guidance to the executive team and board of directors.
- Oversee all financial functions, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, tax planning, and treasury management.
- Analyze financial data and trends to provide insights and recommendations for improving financial performance and operational efficiency.
- Manage cash flow, liquidity, and capital allocation to support business operations and strategic initiatives.
- Monitor and assess financial risks and opportunities, and develop strategies to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with financial institutions, investors, auditors, and other external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accounting standards, and internal controls.
- Lead and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes, providing financial insights and analysis to support business objectives.
CFO Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
- Proven experience as a CFO or senior financial executive, preferably in startups seeking institutional investment.
- Luxury hospitality exposure also preferred.
- Strong financial acumen and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and trends.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels of the organization.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate financial strategies into actionable plans and results.
- Solid understanding of financial regulations, compliance requirements, and accounting principles.
- Demonstrated track record of driving financial performance, growth, and operational excellence.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and challenges.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct.
- Proficiency in financial management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
