The General Manager is responsible for the overall operations. This includes ensuring a
seamless guest experience and promoting a positive and safe work environment for team members.
Job Responsibilities:
- Providing guidance to Unit Managers, Kitchen Managers, and Team Members
- Performing daily opening, closing, operational, and administrative duties
- Ensuring proper staffing in each area
- Oversee and if necessary, assist with the hiring, training, and appropriate coaching and counseling of Team Members and Managers in Training
- Ensuring compliance with sanitation and safety regulations
- Working effectively with supervisors, peers, subordinates, guests, vendors, and corporate partners
- Listening, communicating, and working to resolve guest concerns
- Delivering timely results with minimal supervision
- Maintaining regular personal attendance for all scheduled shifts
- Control costs and identifies measures to reduce waste
- Meeting or exceeding set standards of financial performance
Job Requirements:
- Must be 21 years old or older
- Minimum of 5 years experience in the hospitality business (bar, restaurant, etc.)
- Minimum of 3 years of General Manager experience in fast-paced, full-service restaurant
- Dine in theater experience a plus
- Ability to obtain any required alcohol service licenses or certifications, including T.I.P.S. Certification
- Ability to work and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
- Working knowledge of all staff functions
- Associate’s / Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, culinary arts, or equivalent experience
