Inside Sales Representative – Electrical Distribution/Switchgear Responsibilities

  • Solution Estimating & Configuration: Translate customer needs into engineered power system options, factoring in design scope, project timelines, and cost target.
  • Client Relations & Order Execution: Act as the internal liaison for clients—handling RFQs, finalizing order specs, and aligning internal fulfillment teams.
  • Platform & Workflow Management: Log, monitor, and update project data using digital tools like Monday.com and NetSuite.
  • Team Integration: Coordinate with engineering, supply chain, and external sales to ensure seamless quote-to-delivery cycles and client satisfaction.
  • Customer Development: Establish rapport with key industry partners, guiding them through electrical product choices that best meet their operational challenges.

Inside Sales Representative – Electrical Distribution/Switchgear Qualifications

  • Industry Background: Minimum of 3 years in power product sales, particularly involving circuit distribution systems and switchgear
  • Tech Competency: Comfortable working with UL891 switchboards, electrical schematics, and control system components
  • Vendor Systems Experience: Able to navigate and quote via portals from Eaton, Siemens, Square D, ABB/GE
  • Commercial Awareness: Strong understanding of profit margins and how pricing impacts overall business health
  • Consultative Sales Style: Skilled in diagnosing customer problems and crafting product-focused recommendations rooted in technical expertise
