We're inviting a driven and visionary leader to step into the role of Director of Convention Services at our distinguished luxury hotel—a cornerstone of Dallas’s premier hospitality landscape. Renowned for hosting major events and elite gatherings, our property offers the perfect setting for an accomplished professional to elevate both guest experiences and business performance.

As the Director, you'll lead the convention and catering teams, orchestrating high-end functions with precision while championing excellence in operations and maximizing revenue. What You’ll Do:

• Review and authorize group sales transitions, ensuring all event details are accurately captured and flawlessly handed off.
• Delegate meetings, conferences, and special events to team members to optimize service delivery and profitability.
• Personally manage key VIP programs and citywide conventions when needed.
• Guarantee that detailed group resumes are prepared and distributed well ahead of arrivals, in line with property standards and timelines.
• Facilitate weekly strategy meetings to discuss upcoming events, address potential challenges, and ensure smooth execution across departments.
• Maintain and refine departmental standards, streamlining processes for optimal efficiency and guest satisfaction.
• Position the hotel as the go-to venue for both corporate and social functions in the Dallas market.
• Lead the development and implementation of a forward-thinking strategy that aligns with business goals and market demand.

What You Bring:

• A minimum of 5 years in a leadership role within convention services at a luxury or high-volume hotel or resort.
• Expertise in coordinating intricate programs involving multiple teams and shifting priorities.
• Bachelor's degree in hospitality, business, or equivalent luxury experience is preferred.
• A proven ability to lead, develop, and retain a high-performing team under pressure.
• Advanced skills in client relations, negotiation, and strategic planning.
• Impeccable attention to detail and a strong operational mindset.
• Outstanding communication skills capable of influencing all levels of the organization.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with FDC or similar event planning software is a plus.
