We are seeking an experienced Real Estate Controller to oversee financial operations for a dynamic, vertically integrated real estate company. This leadership role involves financial reporting, budgeting, and team management, with deep expertise in MRI software. A CPA and background in real estate accounting are essential.
Real Estate Controller Qualifications:
- CPA with a Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 7+ years of real estate accounting experience, ideally with Big Four training
- Proficient in MRI and Excel with strong knowledge of GAAP
- Demonstrated leadership and team development experience
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Real Estate Controller Compensation & Benefits:

Real Estate Controller Key Responsibilities:
- Lead financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal control processes
- Oversee AP/AR, cash flow, and property-level accounting in MRI
- Manage and improve MRI system functionality and staff training
- Coordinate CapEx reviews, audits, and compliance efforts
- Mentor and manage accounting team performance and development
