We are partnering with a Law Firm in Buckhead seeking a Sr. Staff Accountant. The ideal candidate will join an award-winning firm and outline processes/procedures to assist in streamlining the accounting department.
Sr. Staff Accountant Responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate processing of payroll deductions/garnishments
- Resolve any payroll tax issues
- Resolve all employee payroll issues
- Reconcile general ledger payroll journals for each payroll
- Enter/process invoices into AP system
- Review invoices for appropriate GL coding and approvals
- Ensure approval of invoices
- Prioritize invoices according to payment terms
- Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
- Enter vendor payment data into the accounting system
- Prepare checks, ACH’s and wire transfers for signature/approval
- Respond to vendor payment inquiries, troubleshoot, and resolve any outstanding issues
- Update, create, maintain, and distribute various reports and spreadsheets internally and externally
- Bank Reconciliations
Sr. Staff Accountant Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Staff/Sr. Staff Accountant
- Must be advanced in Microsoft Excel (V Look-Ups/Macros)
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, have great communication skills, and be able to address questions from both internal and external parties.
- Experience working with ERP/Accounting software, banking portals, and case management software a plus.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and prioritize work, as necessary.
- Excellent customer service skills.
Sr Staff Accountant Compensation & Benefits:
- Base Salary 80k-90k
