Our client is looking for an Engineering Director to lead their HW and SW development teams.
This is an onsite position. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
Engineering Director compensation:
- Base salary of $180 – $220k with 20% annual bonus
- M-F Day shift
- Full benefits and 401(k)
- PTO and Vacation
Engineering Director responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end hardware and software delivery across global markets (US, Brazil, EMEA, Australia)
- Manage and develop a multidisciplinary engineering team (Electrical, Mechanical, Embedded, Web, Test)
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Manufacturing, CX, Install Operations, and Sales teams
- Identify and manage risks, driving resolution of technical challenges
- Drive continuous improvement in technology, process, and financial performance
- Oversee vendor relationships and OEM component integration
- Establish product lifecycle planning, refresh, and replacement strategies
- Enhance software development practices, tools, architecture, and communication
- Represent product offerings to internal and external stakeholders
- Lead organizational change through adoption of strategic technologies and best practices
- Coach, mentor, and recruit engineering talent; conduct performance reviews
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards, risk management, and certifications
- Maintain and update engineering policies and procedures
Engineering Director requirements:
- BS in Engineering
- 10+ years of engineering experience
- 5+ year of management in a SCRUM environment
- Experience with the development of instrument controls for cloud based platforms
- Experience with Solidworks, AutoCAD, Altium, Eagle, GIT, Bitbucket, AWS, Kubernetes, PostMan, Fusion 360, Arena
