We are currently looking for a skilled and experienced Building and Roofing Inspector to become part of our client's team. This position presents an exciting opportunity for self-motivated individuals to engage in a variety of tasks while being backed by a well-established and respected team of professionals.

Responsibilities of the Building and Roofing Inspector:

  • Conduct roof and residential building inspections to ensure adherence to local codes and regulations.
  • Identify, document, and report any violations, ensuring accurate records are maintained.
  • Offer expert guidance and provide code-compliant solutions to contractors, developers, and property owners.
  • Work closely with staff, government agencies, and the public to ensure compliance and safety standards are met.
  • Stay current on industry best practices, construction trends, and evolving regulations.
  • Perform other related tasks as necessary.

Qualifications & Skills for the Building and Roofing Inspector:

  • In-depth knowledge of local building codes and up-to-date construction technology.
  • Ability to interpret codes in the field and offer practical, compliant solutions.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with a keen eye for detail and efficient time management.
  • Proven ability to take initiative and make independent decisions.
  • Positive interpersonal skills for interacting with staff, contractors, government agencies, and the public.

Required Certifications & Licenses:

  • Florida Standard Inspector License in Building (Required).
  • Florida Standard Roofing Inspector License (Required).
  • Florida Certified General Contractor License (Required).
  • Florida Standard Plan Review License in Building (Preferred, but not required).
  • High velocity hurricane zone- HVHZ (required)
  • Experience in construction and inspection.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
