Kitchen Manager Responsibilities:

  • Train, coach, and lead the kitchen team, setting high standards and always delivering excellence
  • Build and maintain respectful relationships with all kitchen staff while holding them accountable
  • Stay hands-on and observant in every aspect of the operation
  • Ensure high service and cleanliness standards are consistently met
  • Maintain smooth operations in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Carefully manage portion control, recipe adherence, prep list completion, and waste reduction

Kitchen Manager Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Kitchen Manager in a high-volume, full-service restaurant, ideally in a systems-oriented casual to upscale-casual setting (no job-hoppers)
  • Proven leadership skills: approachable, with a coaching mentality, leading by example, and maintaining restaurant standards
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed expectations, build strong relationships, and uphold operational standards
  • Experience with inventory management and ordering is required
  • Strict adherence to safety and sanitation standards is essential
