Sr. Marketing Manager Job Description

Key consumer expert and champion for product lines within a category. Responsible for the development and management of the annual category marketing plans for product line(s), including product, price, promotions, productivity, and digital/communications. Identifies and analyzes new opportunities for profitable growth and profit improvements. Serves a key role in the development of the category long-range plan. This role is based in the Triad of North Carolina (Greensboro/Winston Salem/High Point)

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform market and trend research, determine market potential, identify consumer insight needs or trends to develop marketing plans for the product line/brand
  • Lead category roadmap and product development utilizing the Stage-Gate Process where appropriate.
  • Conduct data analytics, gap analyses and competitive and consumer insights research and leverage into profitable growth strategies and plans
  • Proactively grow and optimize performance of assigned product(s) to deliver against department P&L.
  • Manage full product lifecycle and roadmap,
  • Align with Sales, Customer Marketing and eBusiness on strategic priorities
  • Work with Procurement, Asia, Graphics, Engineering, Design, eBusiness, Market Research, Customer Marketing, Finance, Legal and Project Management to execute against project plans

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (MBA desirable)
  • 7-10 years business or marketing experience
  • Live in the Triad of North Carolina (Greensboro/Winston Salem/High Point (Relocation assistance available)
  • Experience working in a channel or product marketing role with P&L responsibilities
  • Experience managing multiple products or channels, consumer goods, home improvement or building products preferred
  • Understanding and exposure to Digital marketing
