Our client is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager for their firm in the greater Buffalo area. Qualified candidates will be well-versed in commercial (retail) construction and have at least five years of experience in the full scope of construction project management methodologies.
Construction Project Manager Compensation and Benefits:
- Annual salary between $95,000 – $140,000, depending upon experience
- Health insurance plus Ala carte options

Construction Project Manager Requirements:
- At least five years of professional, commercial construction project management responsibilities
- OSHA 30 cardholder preferred
- High-level understanding of construction practices, procedures, codes, regulations, and best practices
- Strong proficiency in project management software
- Solid understanding of cost containment and how project costs affect the bottom line
- High value of safety practices on job sites
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to relate to people on all levels
- Ability to pivot while balancing multiple priorities
Construction Project Manager Responsibilities:
- Responsible for estimating, planning, directing, and coordinating projects from start to finish
- Prepare detailed estimates for projects while soliciting and evaluating manufacturers’ material proposals
- Review project scope and documents with time frame and budget, including staffing requirements and allotment of available resources
- Oversee all aspects of construction throughout the project, including meeting regularly with the Superintendent to identify, understand, and eliminate project constraints
- Responsible for scheduling each project and working on timetables with the Superintendent
- Oversee onsite job safety, review safety inspections, and work on resolving any safety concerns
- Ensure project progresses on schedule and within budget
- Processes and approves vendor billings accurately and on time
- Communicates with the Superintendent and delivers project progress reports
- Manage material suppliers by negotiating and awarding purchase orders in a timely manner
- Perform profit analysis/projections
- Perform any special assignments, additional projects, or other job-related duties necessary to carry out the responsibilities of the position
