A prominent law firm in Atlanta is looking to hire a staff accountant to join this award-winning firm to streamline and help establish new procedures to build efficiencies in the accounting department.

Staff Accountant Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate processing of payroll, including tax issues, deductions, and garnishments
  • Reconcile P&L statements
  • Review, enter, and process invoices with appropriate approvals
  • Prioritize invoices according to payment terms
  • Reconcile expense reporting, approval, and reimbursement
  • Review and enter vendor payment data into the accounting system
  • Accurately complete commissions and quarterly bonus calculations
  • Prepare checks, ACH, and wire transfers for signature/approval
  • Create, maintain, and distribute various reports internally and externally
  • Bank Reconciliations

Staff Accountant Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Staff Accountant
  • Must be advanced in Microsoft Excel (V Look-Ups/Macros)
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, have excellent communication skills
  • Promptly address questions from both internal and external parties.
  • Experience working with ERP/Accounting software, banking portals, and case management software is a plus.
  • Sense of urgency and strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
