Position Summary:

A leading construction and industrial services firm in Atlanta is seeking an experienced Crane &Rigging Operations Manager to lead and coordinate multiple rigging crews and warehouse/tool room teams across 10+ active projects. This senior leadership role requires a deep focus on safety, operational excellence, and resource planning, while directly managing a core team of 20–25 and indirectly supervising an additional 25–50. The ideal candidate brings strong cross-functional experience in bidding, procurement, and project oversight.


Crane & Rigging Operations Manager Responsibilities:

  • Operational Leadership
  • Lead rigging teams and oversee safe, timely execution of projects across multiple locations, ensuring adherence to safety regulations and internal standards.
  • Project & Resource Management
  • Develop rigging plans, allocate resources effectively, and coordinate scheduling for 10+ concurrent projects ranging from $250K–$1M in scope.
  • Warehouse & Tool Room Oversight
  • Manage inventory, tool maintenance, and warehouse operations to maintain equipment availability, safety compliance, and organizational efficiency.
  • Team Development & Supervision
  • Hire, train, and supervise rigging superintendents, foremen, and warehouse/tool room managers; conduct evaluations and drive continuous improvement.

Crane & Rigging Operations Manager Qualifications:

  • 10–15+ years of crane & rigging operations experience, including 5+ years in senior leadership roles.
  • Proven ability to manage 10+ active job sites with budgets ranging from $250K to $1M.
  • Strong background in safety compliance, resource planning, and cross-functional coordination (e.g., bidding, procurement, scheduling).
  • Willingness to travel up to 15% of the time for project oversight and team coordination.

Crane & Rigging Operations Manager Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary Range: $110,000 – $125,000 base
  • Bonuses: Annual performance-based bonus
  • Health Coverage: Health, Dental, Vision coverage, with employee portion 100% paid
  • Retirement: 401(k) plan
  • Paid Time Off: 15 days PTO per year
  • Relocation: Full relocation package provided
