Confidential Opportunity – Cloud Security & Infrastructure Lead
We are seeking a Cloud Security & Infrastructure Lead to lead, mentor, and develop our IT security and infrastructure team while ensuring the security, scalability, and operational efficiency of our cloud-based environments. This fully remote role requires occasional travel to West Coast cities and demands a highly skilled cloud-native security professional with strong expertise in AWS and Azure, a passion for AI-driven solutions, and a hands-on leadership approach.

Cloud Security & Infrastructure Lead Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary Range: $120,000 – $145,000 per year
- 401(k) Matching: 50% match up to 6%
- Healthcare Coverage: 99% of employee premiums covered, 65% for dependents

Cloud Security & Infrastructure Lead Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of IT security engineers, system administrators, and DevOps professionals.
- Establish and enforce best practices for IT security, infrastructure, and cloud management.
- Oversee AWS and Azure cloud environments to ensure security, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
- Implement and maintain robust cloud security controls, including IAM policies, WAFs, IDS/IPS, and data encryption.
- Conduct cloud security risk assessments and lead incident response and vulnerability management.
- Ensure compliance with security frameworks such as NIST, PCI DSS, GDPR, ISO 27001, and SOC 2.
- Collaborate with leadership to align IT security strategies with business goals
Cloud Security & Infrastructure Lead Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Cloud Computing, or related field.
- Industry certifications preferred: AWS Security Specialty, Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer, CISSP, CISM, or CEH.
- 5+ years of experience in cloud security, IT infrastructure, and cybersecurity.
- Strong expertise in AWS and Azure cloud platforms.
- Hands-on experience with network security, firewalls, WAFs, IDS/IPS, and cloud-native security tools.
- Proficiency in automation and scripting (Python, Bash, Terraform, Ansible) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage and mentor technical teams.
- Must be able to travel occasionally to West Coast cities.
- Strict confidentiality is required due to an existing person in this role.
