Our client, a dynamic and fast-growing restaurant committed to excellence in both cuisine and customer experience, is currently seeking a skilled and detail-driven Bookkeeper with restaurant industry experience to oversee their day-to-day financial operations and support our leadership team in making informed decisions.

Restaurant Bookkeeper Responsibilities and Qualifications

• Managing daily financial transactions and records using QuickBooks
• Overseeing accounts payable/receivable and ensuring accurate, on-time payments
• Verifying pricing and inventory to support cost control and profitability
• Handling payroll processing and tip allocations in line with labor regulations
• Reconciling bank accounts and monitoring daily sales activity
• Preparing monthly financial reports including P&L and expense tracking
• Partnering with management to streamline processes and identify cost-saving strategies
• Prior bookkeeping experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting
• Strong knowledge of QuickBooks and accounting best practices
• Expertise in inventory management and pricing accuracy
• A solid understanding of payroll, tip handling, and labor compliance
• The ability to interpret and analyze financial data for operational improvements
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• 3+ years in a restaurant bookkeeping or accounting role
• Familiarity with POS systems (such as Toast, Square) and restaurant-specific tools
• Knowledge of restaurant tax rules and financial compliance
• Degree or certification in accounting, finance, or a related field (preferred, not required)
